Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo!

In news that has left many parents reeling, The Wiggles have just released their very own version of the viral hit song, Baby Shark.

The announcement appeared on The Wiggles Facebook page with the group explaining that the decision to do the song came down to a matter of giving the fans what the fans want.

“Never before have we had a song more highly requested. We listened, and here it is!”

Acknowledging some parents may not be thrilled with the release, the group comprising of Anthony Fields, Emma Watkins, Lachy Gillespie and Simon Pryce, added:

“While we know this is going to make lots of children happy – we are definitely taking a moment of silence for the parents who thought they had finally moved on from this song.”

The post was flooded with comments from parents with some saying they had mixed feelings about The Wiggles covering the song that you literally can’t get out of your head.

“This is simultaneously the worst and best news ever,” wrote one fan.

“Thank you but I don’t thank you. My four-year-old will over the moon though so that makes me happy,” added another.

The Wiggles have confirmed the video clip for Baby Shark is coming soon!

Then, there were the parents who were obviously very disgruntled that the Wiggles version of viral hit would be soon blaring in their lounge rooms.

“Why would you do that to parents?” questioned a fan.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!” screamed another via their keyboard.

But the children’s entertainment group weren’t phased by the backlash, infact they found it amusing and simply offered an apology back to dismayed mums and dads:

“Haha sorry parents!! But we know the little ones will be happy!! Isn’t that what matters….. (sorry!)”

And replying to another unhappy parent: “There will be plenty of other fun songs on the album if you need to skip this one haha :)”

Baby Shark will be on The Wiggles Fun and Games album available on 27 March – but good news is, you can preorder it now!
