ICYMI… 3 topics that have mums divided
What are your thoughts?
“That’s the nanny’s job, not mine”
Radio host Sandilands has shocked his co-star and godmother-to-be Jackie O countless times before and his latest declaration is another in a long line of topics that make people raise their eyebrows.
Not long after saying that men in relationships could be with other women but women in relationships could not be with other men, the 50yo dad-to-be told Jackie that he was getting soundproofing put in at home.
So the baby can sleep soundly, you might think. When mum-of-one, 47yo Jackie said that she thought the soundproofing was for his at-home recording studio, his response was a hard no. “That’s for the baby’s room. It’s so I don’t have to hear that awful crying,” he said, continuing “That’s the nanny’s job. The nanny needs to hear the baby crying … Me don’t need to hear no cry-cry.”
The fiancé of 36yo Tegan Kynaston, who is expecting baby Otto in August 2022, was not put off when his shocked colleague – who asked him to be her 11yo daughter, Kitty’s godfather just days ago – tried to impress upon him that “when they are crying, it means they’re hungry or there’s something wrong”.
The expectant parents recently moved house and it’s obvious by the lavish nursery items seen in the move that Otto is going to be born into the lap of luxury, but he’ll need to shush.
The Real Housewives host is thinking seriously about his children’s future.
“Maybe they’ll defrost their sibling”
Real Housewives host and dad of two, Andy Cohen has made no secret that he welcomed 3yo son Ben and newborn daughter Lucy via surrogates and as celebrities and surrogacy are increasingly hand in hand (think Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Ricky Martin…) it’s not a surprise to anyone.
However, eyes popped wide open with his latest revelation.
Talking to Jeff Lewis on his radio show Live, the 54to dad explained that he has some frozen embryos left and that he’ll keep them for Ben and Lucy, in case they want to ‘defrost their sibling’ if they can’t have kids when they are older.
When asked how many embryos he has frozen, he replied, “I have a few. I can’t remember. I think I have three left?’ he said. “This is crazy, but if either of them cannot have kids, maybe in 20 years they’ll defrost their sibling and raise them. Is that a weird thought?”
Is it…?
The TikTok audience was divided on the topic of a newborn baby getting its ears pierced.
“This is another level for me, I don’t understand”
Piercing a newborn baby’s ears is common practice in some countries and cultures, but when one mum shared a video that showed photos of her beautiful daughter at a day old and three months old, TikTok went OFF.
The mum posted the video of her daughter, Lara, to show the difference in her hair but many comments were about the earrings, seemingly on a day-old baby.
Viral rants went from the general “I dont think u should put piercings on ur child unless they can tell u if they want them said one commenter” to a huge number of “Why are ppl so mad about the earrings??? fr i’m mexican and i got my ears pierced literally the same day i was born”.
The best one?
“Yall fighting with invisible comments?”
To pierce or not to pierce, that is the question.
