Nick Cannon is now dad to 12 kids – with five born in 2022

US TV host Nick Cannon had his first children, twins with Mariah Carey, in 2011.

To date, the rapper and podcaster has had 12 children with six women.

Cannon’s 12th baby, Halo Marie, was born in December 2022 to Alyssa Scott. The couple tragically lost their five-month-old son, Zen, to cancer in December 2021. Scroll down for more on the newest addition.

Fathering so many children does raise more than a few eyebrows, but since the birth of Beautiful, the 42yo Masked Singer host said that “I don’t plan to ever have to participate in the governmental system of child” after telling The Neighbourhood Talk, “I definitely spend a lot more than [$3 million] on my children annually.”

During an episode of Paramount+’s The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, Cannon admitted he was finding things quite hard.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he said. “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin,” he continued.

Nick Cannon’s baby mamas

Alyssa Scott

In the run up to Christmas 2022, Alyssa Scott posted multiple photos implying that her third baby would arrive earthside very soon. However, it was a couple of weeks before the happy mum shared details about the arrival of her newborn daughter, Halo Marie.

Sharing beautiful photos of her baby girl, Alyssa acknowledged the devastating loss of her infant son, Zen, just one year earlier:

“December 14 2022. Our lives are forever changed ❤️Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us, he shows me signs everyday. I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying “it’s a girl” and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

Cannon hasn’t yet shared photos of his new daughter although he has shared how the life-changing loss of their son continues to impact his life. He said that he is “Physically I’m definitely on the mend but Mentally and Spiritually I’m broken…”

“…Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over. A mixture of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what I suppress daily. I am far from perfect and often fall short and make decisions in my life that many question, but anyone who knows me knows my heart.”

Abby de la Rosa

New mama Abby de le Rosa posted a sweet video clip of her new daughter, while baby daddy Cannon posted another extended caption:

LaNisha Cole

Baby number 10 – his third with Brittany Bell – arrived with the expected fanfare praising Brittany and God for “another blessing”. Baby Rise Messiah arrived in early October, just weeks after his ninth baby, his first with LaNishaCole.

Announcing the safe arrivel of Rise Messiah, Cannon posted an extended caption to Instagram about his admiration and awe of Brittany, who is also mum to his children Golden Sagon and Powerful Queen.

“As my journey on this planet becomes more and more remarkable and unfathomable, all I can do is thank God and continue to ask the Most High to order my steps. He has given me stewardship and dominion over a family dynamic that to some is unimaginable.

“But more importantly he has blessed me with loving individuals to guide me with care through this purposeful life. I am so indebted and grateful for the matriarch energy in my time of need. @missbbell has been the rock and foundation of my Fatherhood journey.

“She has taught me so much about parenting, psychology, spirituality, love and just life in general. For our third child she told me she didn’t want a baby shower and needed NOTHING! All she desired was PRAYER from her authentic Loved Ones! I am learning that is the best GIFT!

Nick Cannon shows up in the delivery suite (again)

In mid-September, Nick Cannon let the world know about his newest baby, a girl whose mother is former The Price Is Right model LaNisha Cole.

Taking to Instagram, the dad-machine introduced Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, alongside a black and white image from the delivery room. Onxy is Cannon’s first child with Cole and number nine on his list.

Things may have taken a turn since then though, as Lanisha told Page 6 in late 2022 that Onyx, three months, is “incredibly blessed and is surrounded by so much love – and it’s not fake IG photo op love – it’s real day in and day out love”.

According to Atlanta Black Star, LaNisha is “currently dating filmmaker and producer Brian Paul Kuba, explained that she’s in a ‘beautiful place now’. She said she’s at peace with her decisions in life after having Cannon’s ninth child.”

Nick Cannon praises the mothers of his children

“Once again Today I am in Awe of the Devine Feminine! God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth,” the Masked Singer host wrote. “I vow to protect, provide, guide and love this child to the best of my abilities.”

The new dad also declared that he had no time for hate, saying basically wasn’t going to listen to any negativity. The 41-year-old wrote, “I wish to mute any low vibrational frequencies and only rejoice with the Highest Class of Civilization who are truly aligned with our purpose here in this dimension.”

He asked people to direct any vitriol or criticism or cynicism toward him and not toward the mothers of his children, particularly new mum, LaNisha Cole, writing that she “only deserves to revel in this moment of blissful joy of motherhood. Please give her that.”

Nick doesn’t have accidents

Just weeks prior the prolific dad revealed Brittany Bell was heavily pregnant with their third child together – only weeks after Bre Tiesi gave birth to her first baby with him. The rapper dad shared a video to his Instagram announcing that Brittany Bell, mum to his third and fourth children, was pregnant again. You can watch the video below.

In 2021, rapper Cannon took a vow of celibacy and told a US radio station that he “don’t have no accident[s]” and that all his babies were planned.

Cannon’s fifth baby, Zen, whose mother is Alyssa Scott, was born in June 2021 – the same month as his twin babies with Abby De La Rosa – but Zen tragically passed away at five months old having succumbed to an aggressive brain tumour.

Cannon babies galore!

Cannon’s abstinence came to an end in late 2021 and hosts of the podcast Lip Service predicted that the stork/s would be arriving in September/October 2022 – and it seems they were right.

“I got depressed with the loss of my son,” the Masked Singer host explained. “Everybody saw I was so down. So everybody was like, ‘Let’s just give him a little vagina, and that’s gonna cure it all’.  I fell victim to it because I was in a weak state.”

It’s not quite the ‘I don’t know how she does it’ that we equate to busy mums, but Men’s Health magazine is applauding his ‘virility’ – “Go forth and multiply!! LOL” they captioned a recent Instagram post.

The 40-year-old rapper appears to maintain positive relationships with most of his ‘exes’, following them on socials, praising them and their shared kids. And many of his exes seem to feel the same.

“I think they’re all confident and secure in themselves to even have to deal with a person like me,” he told the podcast. “None of them have problems with each other. They’re such strong willed women that they’re not worried.”

Bre Tiesi: her 1st baby; his 8th

Public figure, model and real estate agent, 30-year-old Bre Tiesi gave birth to her first child – Cannon’s 8th – on June 28. Her son, Legendary Love Cannon entered the world via unmedicated home birth and she shared a video to her vlog.

The model was married to American football star Johnny Manziel from 2018-2021, and shares stunning photos of her pregnancy on her Instagram account.

Recently, she has posted about the stress carrying her son has had on her body, saying that it’s been the “most powerful experience yet I’m embracing every moment”.

In mid-July, Cannon shared to Instagram that while he said he “would never do it again” implying that he had proposed marriage to Bre. “Finally doing what the world wants me to do… 💍” he wrote. Followers were quick to jump on commenting that the photos were stills from a movie or a music video. All will be revealed!

Abby De La Rosa: her 1st and 2nd babies (twins), and her 3rd; his 6th and 7th, and 11th

Model and influencer Abby De La Rosa gave birth her twin boys with Nick Cannon in June 2021. Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir turned one this month and the parents shared photos of them having family time at Disneyland. Abby is pregnant again and posted to Instagram “Another set of twins?!” but later confirmed that she is expecting a daughter in October 2022.

In November 2022, Abby gave birth to a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin.

Brittany Bell: her 1st, 2nd and third babies; his 3rd and 4th, and 10th

One-time beauty queen turned journalist, 34-year-old Brittany Bell gave birth to her and Cannon’s first child together, a boy, in February 2017. Golden ‘Sagon’ Cannon was followed three years later by a daughter, Powerful Queen, who was born in December 2020. The parents shared photos of Powerful’s birthday in 2021 and Cannon often posts photos of Golden and Powerful plus they featured in his interview with Men’s Health.

In an elaborate video that the prolific dad shared to Instagram in August 2022, it was revealed that Brittany is heavily pregnant with her third baby with him. Powerful and Sagon dressed up to be part of the video that runs for several minutes and shows the couple in various stunning and barely-there outfits as Cannon cradled Brittany’s beautiful pregnant tum.

Alyssa Scott: her 1st baby and 2nd babies with Cannon; his 5th and 12th

Alyssa Scott was 27 when she gave birth to her second child, a boy named Zen who was born the  same month as Abby De La Rosa’s twin boys. She also has five-year-old daughter named Zeela. Devastatingly, Zen had brain cancer and passed away at just five months old, in early December 2021.

On Mother’s Day 2022, Alyssa shared a beautiful photo in which she appears to be pregnant, with the caption: “Today I’m grateful I was able to pick up the phone and hear my mom and grandmothers voice on the other line …”I’m grateful for my daughter who is holding my hand through this holiday. I mean it when I say my heart is with every woman and every mother today. Love.”

Of losing baby Zen, Cannon said: “Alyssa was just the strongest woman I have ever seen … she was always the best mom and continues to be the best mom possible.”

In October 2022, Alyssa shared a stunning photo of herself and her 4yo daughter Zeela in matching blue, and it’s been reported by Entertainment Tonight that Nick Cannon is the father.

Mariah Carey, 1st and 2nd babies, his 1st and 2nd babies

Songbird Mariah Carey was married to Cannon in 2008 and gave birth to their boy-girl twins in April 2011. After six years of marriage – Mariah’s longest – the couple split and divorced a year later. They agreed on joint custody of their children.

Earlier this year, Cannon told E Online “Obviously, Mariah and I co-parent really well. We’re really great friends and she’s kind of taught me so much – so that’s family.”
