Kyle Sandilands and fiancé Tegan Kynaston have chosen a baby name and we’re kinda bummed he didn’t get his first choice

"We're ensuring a lifetime of free food!"

We’re wondering if Tegan Kynaston is entirely happy with her shock jock beau after his on air reveal of the baby name that they have chosen for their unborn son.

50yo Kyle was chatting with his KIIS co-host, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson when he let slip that they had settled upon the unique name, Otto for their little boy.

Jackie was saying that she hoped her 11-year-old daughter, Catalina ‘Kitty’ Henderson, follows in her footsteps and becomes a radio presenter.

The 47yo added: “I was thinking, because Kyle’s having a boy, in 20 years’ time, like, it’s the ‘Kitty and whatever-you’re-going-to-call-your-kid Show’.”

It was an immediate response from the enthusiastic dad-to-be, who replied: “Otto. That’s what we’re going to call him.”

Otto is a beautiful name with Germanic roots meaning “wealth and prosperity”, which is a great fit for Kyle who went from homeless youth to a household name with an estimated $100 million net worth!

Although we here at Bounty Parents adore the name, Kyle said that their family hasn’t quite come around to the idea.

“I don’t think it’s gone down too well with the family,” he continued. “Even Tegan’s mum goes, ‘Oh, there’s no need to rush into a name’.

“And my auntie Jill went, ‘What sort of stupid name is that?'”

It wasn’t long before the food loving co-hosts realised that they’d both named their children after popular Sydney restaurants.

Catalina is an upmarket seafood restaurant Rose Bay, while Italian eatery Otto Ristorante is located in Woolloomooloo, in the inner east.

“We’re ensuring a lifetime of free food!” Jackie laughed while Kyle joked: “I wanted to call [my son] Grill’d because I like those burgers, but Tegan said no. She prefers Otto.”

The name Kyle REALLY wanted …

We’re guessing that 35yo Nueva drinks co-founder, Tegan vetoed the name that has been on the top of Kyle’s list for a while, and we can (begrudgingly) see why …

“I’ve wanted to call my child J’Majesty for as long as I can remember,” Kyle revealed on air. “No one’s ever like that name because it’s Jermaine Jackson’s son’s name. Everyone thinks it’s a bit too affluent, but I like it!”

Kyle’s top pick, ‘J’Majesty’ didn’t make the cut.

Kyle also revealed that he and fiancé Tegan were expecting their first child together on air!

“We’re having a baby!” Kyle, 50, announced as the entire KIIS FM studio cheered last month.

Kyle went on to say that he hoped the bub was “either a girl … or a little gay son,” and in true Kyle style praised Tegan’s “beautiful big meaty t–ties” since she’s become pregnant.

Co-host Jackie O said she was “so happy” for the couple, noting that the news explained Kyle’s emotional outbursts of late.

Eerily, Kyle also revealed that KIIS FM resident psychic Georgia Walker actually predicted that Kyle and Tegan would be expecting in the near future.

Kyle has previously hinted at wanting children with Tegan, recently telling Daily Mail Australia that the pair had been given the green light following fertility tests.

“I was really nervous [about the fertility test] until it came back saying, ‘Yep, it’s all great, everything’s fine.’
