The toy, available from Big W and online, has been recalled days before Christmas.
Hasbro’s Elefun toy has been recalled, days before Christmas, amid fears it could cause serious injury to children.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued an urgent recall of the toys on December 15, warning that the small plastic disks propelled out of an elephant when kids stomp on it may cause: “The butterfly flyers may strike a child in the face,” the recall notice said.

Product description
Elefun Flyers is a game where players stomp on the elephant’s tail to launch round butterfly disks into the air. The players then attempt to catch the disks in their nets.
Only the Elefun Flyers (F1695) product is affected. No other Elefun product is affected.
What are the defects?
The butterfly flyers may strike a child in the face.
What are the hazards?
There is a risk of facial injury (skin abrasions or bruising) to children.
The toy has been recalled due to fearts the butterfly flyers may strike a child in the face.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
