New to Bounty?
By Kara Demmrich
Alongside my husband Kyal, I run a Design & Construction business, and we build and renovate homes for a living.
We have two kids 5yo Ziya and 3yo Vada who are super active and keep us on our toes. I love my job and the varied scope of what we do, and am usually juggling what feels like 10 balls at once on any given day.
With that comes the need to be organised around Christmas, as my pet hate is rushing out to impulse buy for the sake of getting someone a present. With this in mind, I’ve put together my ‘Christmas Wishlist’ – a carefully considered guide for the whole family with quality in mind, for those that love a good recommendation!
Applewood & Goji Berry al.ive body, RRP $79
This hand and body duo is a practical and stylish addition to any kitchen, bathroom or laundry (or all of the above if you’re at my house). This new flavour Applewood & Goji Berry is devine and derived from natural ingredients, fortified with essential oils and native botanical extracts. The bonus is, once you have the duo set, you can purchase refills when you’re ready.
Dri-Glo Cotton Waffle Bath Sheets, RRP $39.99
These are my new favourite towel. I’ll admit, I’ve been known to buy towels purely for aesthetics, with no regard as to how well they actually dry you. But… these are a gamechanger!
Made from Australian Grown premium combed cotton in 650gsm, they have a beautiful waffle texture on one side – and an amazing terry rib on the other. So chic but also practical and durable.
Measuring 80cm x 160cm they’re also super generous and available in a few colours – Moonbeam being my favourite.
Kubi Dubi Wooden Balancing Building Blocks from RRP $78
These building block playsets allow children to create unique and varied constructions that appear to balance in the air. We’ve owned these blocks for a while now and it always amazes me how versatile they are. They encourage the kids to use their imagination, logic and spatial cognition to create clever masterpieces. And I have to admit, Kyal and I get just as into the building as the kids do!
Dri-Glo Kids Gingham Sheet Sets from RRP $109.99
For a touch of nostalgia and adventure in the kid’s room, these are a fun addition to any kids room.
Made from Cotton in 250 thread count percale they’re great quality and can be mixed and matched with other colours in the Dri-Glo range.
I’ve styled the gingham sheets in my kid’s bedroom and the kids absolutely love them.
Kala Onyx Bowl, RRP $89
These beauties are even more stunning in real life than in pictures and I’ve found them so versatile.
I move them around the house depending on what I need. I’ve used as a decorative piece on our entry console, as a fruit bowl, as a jewellery dish on my bedside – the possibilities are endless. With all these uses in mind, I feel these are a beautiful gift for those people who “have it all.”
Kids Fossil Excavation Kits, RRP $39
This eco-friendly, non-toxic fossil and gemstone excavation kit contains zero plaster, toxins or plastic materials.
Working with real tools, the kids are so stoked to be embarking on an exploration to discover the treasures that lie beneath. A great option for a rainy day or an activity post a bushwalk.
This is Incense, RRP $39
You can’t go wrong with some beautiful incense sticks and this new scent, Bondi is perfect heading into summer. A delicate scent with hints of grapefruit, cardamon and ground cedarwood.
At a lower price point, this would also make a great secret santa present! I love lighting incense sticks first thing in the morning and enjoying the serenity before the kids wake up and the noise ensues.
Dri-Glo Linen Quilted Coverlet from RRP $299.99
These coverlets are the perfect way to add a light layer to your bed. With cotton fill, the natural fibre coverlet is super practical but also looks amazing. I use these in our Blue Lagoon Studio and they’re the perfect textured addition.
