Plus, find out why the ABC has pulled the iconic Hammerbarn episode… and why parents are NOT happy.

Hammerbarn is coming to life in Bunnings stores across Australia this August, and it’s shaping up to be a total family favourite.

From Wednesday, July 30, stores nationwide will get the full Bluey treatment, inspired by the hit Hammerbarn episode. Expect exclusive toys, homewares and must-have merch that’ll have the whole family saying, “for real life?”

And yes, the gnomes are back! Fan faves Hecuba, Tony, Jeremy and the zen Meditation Gnome are returning to shelves, joined by three new recruits: Gerald, plus a Bride and Groom Gnome duo. But be quick, these little legends won’t stick around for long.

ABC temporarily pulls iconic Bluey episode

Aussie Bluey fans are up in arms after the ABC quietly pulled Season 2’s Hammerbarn episodes from its streaming platform.

Turns out, the episode was removed from ABC iView due to a commercial partnership between Bunnings and BBC Studios, the company that holds Bluey’s merchandising rights. The timing coincides with Bunnings restocking their wildly popular Bluey-inspired garden gnomes and show-themed merch.

“As the ABC cannot align with a commercial brand or partnership, the Bluey episode Hammerbarn will temporarily be unavailable on ABC iView,” a spokesperson for the ABC said.

“Hammerbarn will return to ABC iView at a later date. All other episodes of Bluey seasons one to three remain on ABC iView for Bluey fans to enjoy.”

While Hammerbarn is still available to stream on Disney+ in the US and the BBC in the UK, Aussie families are missing out – and they’re not happy.

“You can’t be serious? My 3-year-old is going to throw a fit,’’ one frustrated parent wrote on Reddit.

“Yeah ours is missing too, my girl is very upset,” another added.

For now, fans will have to wait for Hammerbarn to return. But with Aussie kids howling for their favourite episode, the ABC could be in for more than just a few angry emails.
