They’re becoming parents and even grandparents themselves now, but what names did Generation X’s parents give them back in the day?

Sandwiched between the Baby Boomers and Millennials, comes Generation X. Sometimes called the “Baby Bust Generation”, or the “MTV Generation” Gen X’ers are those born between 1965 and 1980.

The first generation to be left at home alone as both parents worked, these “latchkey kids” became renowned for their ability to get to get things done, even if those things were mainly hanging around taking advantage of the fact that they’re also the first generation to experience cable TV channels at home!

When it came to the names their parents bestowed upon them, things were pretty simple for the Gen X’ers. Often Biblical and traditional, the move toward more unique naming trends had not yet hit, meaning that Gen X’ers can often be identified by their names alone!
