The classic tale of Peter Pan & Wendy gets told from a new perspective

Peter Pan & Wendy, a live-action reimagining of the J.M. Barrie novel Peter Pan and the 1953 animated classic of the same name, is officially coming to streaming very soon.
The teaser trailer, which you can watch in the video player above, gives us a taste of the timeless adventure featuring the characters we all know and love, like never before.
Speaking to the film, director/co-writer David Lowery said, “In making ‘Peter Pan & Wendy,’ we set out to craft a film that honours both the original J.M. Barrie text and Walt Disney’s animated adaptation; we wanted to invigorate our retelling with emotional sincerity, an open heart, and a grand yearning for adventure.”

What is Peter Pan & Wendy about?
As per the synopsis, Peter Pan & Wendy introduces Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up.
“Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland,” it reads.
It’s there that she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.
Who is cast in Peter Pan & Wendy?
The film stars Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore) as Captain Hook, Alexander Molony (The Reluctant Landlord) as Peter Pan, and Ever Anderson (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter) as Wendy.
Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish) also stars as Tinker Bell, alongside Joshua Pickering (A Discovery of Witches) as John, Jacobi Jupe as Michael, Molly Parker (House of Cards) as Mrs Darling and Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as Mr Darling.
Also featured in the film are Jim Gaffigan (The Jim Gaffigan Show) as Mr Smee, and Alyssa Wapanatâhk as Tiger Lily, a warrior princess of Neverland’s Indigenous tribe and the daughter of the tribe’s chief.
