What is Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide?
Here are the Cancer Council’s 5 S’s of sun safety…
SLIP: Put on clothing that covers as much skin as possible, like a long-sleeved collared shirt.
SLOP: Apply broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher. Apply it 20 minutes before going outside and every two hours after.
SLAP: Wear a broad-brimmed or legionnaire-style hat to protect your face, head, neck, and ears.
SEEK: Find shade.
SLIDE: Wear wraparound sunglasses that meet Australian Standards.
