Snezana and Sam Wood has shared an exciting update on their newborn daughter, Harper Jones Wood.
Little Harper was born one month premature on May 4, and spent the first few weeks of her life recovering in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) but she has now finally made it home.
Sharing the news to Instagram on Sunday 29 May, Sam wrote: “Home time Harper. 24 days and it’s finally time to come home 💜”
While Snezana shared: “❤️👏🏽 Our little baby Harper is finally coming home!!!”
After 24 days in NICU, Snezana and Sam Wood bring home baby Harper.
Shortly after Harper’s arrival in early May, Snezana shared the heartbreaking news that Harper Jones Wood has still not made it home from hospital.
Snezana and her husband, Sam Wood met on the The Bachelor and announced the arrival of their third child together on May 4.
In an emotional Instagram post, Snezana revealed little Harper was still building up her strength in hospital but it’s breaking her heart that she has not yet been able to come home.
Alongside a post which showed Harper with tubes in her nose, Snezana wrote: “Our little Harper still isn’t home with us. It breaks my heart 1000 times a day …but then I remember she’s in the best place with incredible Drs & nurses caring for her around the clock,” wrote the mum-of-four.
While little Harper is “doing so well now,” Snezana said but not being able to take her home from hospital has been devastating and that she has not yet met her siblings, Willow, four, Charlie, two, and Eve, 16.
“I know she’ll be home soon enough and her three big sisters will finally be able to meet her but till then it’s back and forth to the hospital a number of times a day whilst trying to keep it together,” she shared.
Snezana and Sam Wood’s daughter Harper arrived one month early.
The emotional Instagram post sharing Harper’s health update was innundated with comments from friends and followers sending love and well wishes to the Wood family.
Entrepreneur Leah Itsines who welcomed her premmie daughter in March, wrote: “I’m sorry 😢 We were 3 weeks in nursery. Sending you the most most most amount of love because it is a pain that hurts deeper than anyone would know 😓❤️”
Former Bachelorette Georgia Love commented: “I can’t imagine guys. Thinking of you x”
“Had my youngest at 33 weeks after my waters broke at 25 weeks. Its so hard doing the nicu trips and heartbreaking leaving them. Its all worth it though ❤️,” commented a follower.
Sam and Snez also share daughters, Willow, Charlie Lane and Eve.
Snezana and Sam announced Harper’s early arrival on Mother’s Day. Sharing the news to Instagram, Sam wrote:
“So here’s a story from the last 5 days…….On Wednesday May 4th, one month early we welcomed Harper Jones Wood to the world,” he began.
“30 minutes after this photo was taken. Snez became sick. Really sick and before we knew it Harper was off to the special care unit and Mum was into ICU.
“Of course in true Snez Mum fashion her only thoughts were for her little baby and it was breaking her heart that she couldn’t hold her.
“After finding an infection that both Snez and Harper had picked up and some incredible care from the nurses and doctors they were reunited yesterday and both doing well.”
He went on to gush about his wife, writing:
“@snezanawood you really are the strongest and most beautiful person I know and like you, thank god the force is strong in little Harper.”
We look forward to hearing the next update, that Snezana and Sam’s new baby girl is able to go home.
