Kyly Clarke was obsessed with *this* toy in the 80s and now her 6yo daughter is a huge fan
"I didn’t really let too many people touch them."
Former Dancing With The Stars contestant, Kyly Clarke and her six-year-old daughter, Kelsey Lee, showed off their dance moves at a My Little Pony event earlier this week.
“Today was one of those days, filled with so much love, joy and excitement for so many reasons,” Kyly, 40 shared to her Instagram followers.
“Today, Kelsey Lee you shone so bright Bella, our very on @mylittlepony Dancer. You put so much effort into practicing this dance we created together for everyone to be able to learn and enjoy and teach their friends. I could not be prouder of you, to look over my shoulder and smile so hard because I saw my little girl so ecstatic to be dancing and performing. You made my heart sing!”
Speaking to Bounty Parents, Kyly added: “The dance moves for My Little Pony are all about bringing fun, cheer, joy and that family feel to the dance routine. It’s an opportunity for young friends and family to unite as one, create a positive vibe and atmosphere all while helping the family get off the couch these holidays and onto the lounge room dance floor to move those bodies.”
She continues: “Dance is a great expression of emotion, you get out of it what you put in, so when you bring joy and smile to a dance routine you get that same level of energy back. The feeling is also passed on to the people that your performing your routine to, it’s a win-win situation.”

With new My Little Pony: Make Your Mark episodes now airing on Netflix, Kyly says she has been obsessed with the toys ever since they were launched in the 80s when she was a child.
“I sure did have my own little collection, they were on my tall boy and were my collectables so I dare say I didn’t really let too many people touch them. I always made sure their tail was combed and nice and neat.”

The former WAG has passed on the love for My Little Pony to her daughter.
“Kelsey Lee has loved My Little Pony from day dot. I think you not only want to support what your child adores but from an adults perspective I think that My Little Pony is extremely relatable.”
With school holidays here, the mother and daughter duo have big plans for the break.
“Kelsey Lee and I love day trips. W e try to be as adventurous as possible and spend time with friends and family. Kelsey Lee is going to meet one of her favourite Australian animals the koala, and she is overly excited about that,” she says.

Kyly shares her daughter with her ex-husband, former cricketer Michael Clarke, 41.
The couple tied the knot in 2012, welcoming daughter Kelsey Lee in 2015. The pair confirmed their split in 2020 but are determined to co-parent their daughter in the best way possible and continue to respect and support one another.
“Kelsey Lee is our priority, so we’re just doing everything that is in her best interest. Her happiness is paramount,” Kyly told the Kyle and Jackie O Show recently.
