Gogglebox baby: Matty Fahd shares a touching birth video tribute to his ‘warrior woman’ wife, Sarah Marie

Three became four on Tuesday 9th May when Gogglebox Australia fan faves Sarah Marie and Matty Fahd welcomed their second child together, a sweet baby boy named Lyon Sainte Fahd.

In honour of Mother’s Day, proud new dad Matty shared a video titled ‘Delivery Day’. The incredible birth video begins with the journey to the hospital right through to those first precious newborn snuggles, and fair warning, if you’re not already clucky you will be after watching it!

Taking to Instagram, Matty shared the video, captioned: “Delivery Day with my warrior woman, still smiling and laughing despite the pain and the anxiety”.

He went on to praise his wife, saying: “I’ve always said you are the light of my life and i’m blessed to be able to now share that light with our boys. We love you mumma bear, thank you for being our light. Happy mother’s day.”

The video begins by covering the hilarious journey where a nervous Matty got lost and took them down a one way street while hitting the speed bumps a little too aggressively for an uncomfortable Sarah Marie, whose waters were breaking as she finally made her way into hospital.

The video also captures the goings on in the delivery room as Sarah Marie is monitored through contractions and finally holds her adorable new son in her arms after welcoming him via a c-section delivery.

The pair were finally able to bring their new son home on Mother’s Day to begin their life as a family of four alongside adorable big brother Malik.

It was earlier this week, that the thrilled new parents took to Instagram to announce the arrival of the new son.

“Lyon Sainte Fahd, 09.05.23,” the pair each shared to their profiles.

“My baby boy, you have completed us. We waited for you, we dreamt of you. Malik, your big brother has been calling your name.

“We will love you unconditionally. We will love you until the end of time. Thank you for blessing us.”

The news of the new arrival amassed nearly 40k comments of congratulations including well wishes from some fellow Goggleboxers.

Of course, lounge-mate Jad was quick to jump in, saying that he “can’t wait to meet the little fella 😍”.

The Silsberrys sent their love, saying: “Congratulations!! Just Devine 😍” while Isabelle specifically said “Omg so beautiful Sarah & Matty! Love to you all xxxxxxxxx”.

Faye Kontos was also thrilled to hear the happy news, writing: “Congratulations to you all 👣 big kisses to Mumsy 😘 welcome little Lyon Sainte 💕” while Adam Denton chimed in with: “Ahhhhh congratulations!!!!! Woooooo!!! What a little guy!”

Congratulations also came rolling in from sports commentator Hayley Willis, news anchor Wendy Kingston, MAFS star Foxy Jojo, podcaster Ash London and the hilarious boys from Sooshi Mango.

In a typically chaotic video, which Matty shared, the comedians sent their love, saying: “Matthew, congratulations to you, Lyon, that’s a nica name, Italian name I think.

“Congratulation to you and your wife! Better out than in, congratulation to you and your wife. We love you very mucha!”

We cannot wait to see more snaps of Malik with his new baby brother. Prior to the birth, Matty shared a video of Malik talking to his brother – while still in his mum’s belly.

“It is your big brother here,” he began.

“It is me and mummy and Baney and daddy and your big brother.”

At the gender reveal party, Malik even popped the balloon which hid the gender of his sibling.

“Our gender reveal & celebration with our family,” Matty wrote.

“Life does not get much better than in moments like this. Malik, Mum & Dad, cannot wait to welcome our baby earth side.”
