The Maleficent actress is struggling with homeschooling like the rest of us!

Just like the rest of us, Angelina Jolie bunkered down when the global pandemic hit. The Malificent star has recently taken the time to chat with Harper’s Bazaar about what’s been happening at camp Jolie, and sadly for youngest daughter Vivienne, things took a devastating turn when she lost a beloved pet.

The 45-year-old actor revealed that during isolation, 11-year-old Vivienne’s bunny had died, saying: “Like most parents, I focus on staying calm so my children don’t feel anxiety from me on top of all they are worrying about. I put all my energy into them.

“During the lockdown, Vivienne’s bunny passed away during a surgery, and we adopted two sweet little ones who are disabled.”

And it seems the new additions helped in a big way when it came to Vivienne and her grief.

“They need to be in pairs,” Angelia said.  “They are so gentle and it has helped to focus on their care with her at this time and on the dogs, and snakes and lizard.”

The mum-of-six has also recently confessed to struggling with homeschooling during the pandemic. And she’s not the only celebrity to admit to it. From Carrie Bickmore to Reese Witherspoon and Duchess Catherine, no one is finding homeschooling easy.

The Lara Croft actor, who is co-parenting with ex-husband Brad Pitt, has been isolating at her Los Angeles home with her six children, Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne and ooh boy … that’s a LOT of kids to teach, but the star is determined to do it right.

Opening up about the experience in her column for Time magazine in April, she wrote: “We’re all locked in, we’re doing all right… Well, the two things that affect children from my view the most being out of school is of course, education, and the challenges of education.

“I know parents across the country are challenged with homeschool and maybe that’s more a challenge for the parents than the children.”

Former loves, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are co-parenting much better now that their better divorce is behind them.

The Girl, Interrupted star has been sharing the parenting with ex, 56-year-old, Brad Pitt who is also based in Los Angeles during the lockdown.

“Now, in the midst of this pandemic, I think of all the mothers and fathers with children at home,” Angelina wrote. “All hoping they can do everything right, answer all needs, and stay calm and positive. One thing that has helped me is to know that’s impossible”

If the large number of children in her brood is not enough to make homeschooling challenging, the subjects that the kids are passionate about would certainly test the bounds of any non-teacher parent.

“All the kids are learning different languages,” Angelina revealed during an interview on BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour. “I asked them what languages they wanted to learn and Shi is learning Khmai, which is a Cambodian language, Pax is focusing on Vietnamese, Mad has taken to German and Russian, Z is speaking French, Vivienne really wanted to learn Arabic, and Knox is learning sign language.”

Good luck, Ange. Here’s hoping the LA schools open back up soon!
