New to Bounty?
Bravo TV‘s Andy Cohen is nailing the single dad thing!
The 53-year-old host of Watch What Happen’s Live, most famous for refereeing the Real Housewives reunion shows, shares the sweetest images of life with three-year-old son Benjamin on Instagram – and we are here for it, particularly now that Ben is a big brother.
Andy and Ben welcomed their newest family member, little Lucy Eve Cohen at the end of April.
Sharing the baby news to Instagram on April 29, the 53-year-old wrote:
“HERE’S LUCY!!!!! Meet my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen! She’s 8 pounds 13 oz and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!!”
He continued: “Her big brother can’t wait to meet her! Thank you to my rock star surrogate (ALL surrogates are rockstars, by the way) and everyone who helped make this miracle happen. I’m so happy.”
Ben is taking big brotherhood in his stride (more about that in the gallery below) but that’s not surprise, he has become used to some monumental moments in his three years so far.
Ben recently shared the spotlight when his talented daddy achieved a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on ben’s third birthday. The tiny tot hung out with some pretty major celebrities including Andy’s best pal, musician John Mayer, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Lisa Rinna and Garcelle Beauvais.
Ben celebrated his 3rd birthday with all of his dad’s famous friends at Andy’s Star ceremony.
Later on the father-son duo celebrated the momentous day alongside family and friends with a beautiful blue cake.
In a sweet snap shared to Instagram, Andy and the rest of the party can be seen cheering Ben on as he prepared to blow out the candles on his very major third birthday.
“Ben had the best 3rd birthday ever!!” shared his proud dad.
Last year on Ben’s birthday, the Bravo star called his son “my true delight”, adding: “I can’t imagine life without him.”
Happy birthday, Ben!
Back when Ben turned one, Andy shared a sweet image snapped by his close mate, musician John Mayer, of he and a tiny baby Benjamin Allen Cohen at the hospital to his Instagram account, alongside a heart warming tribute to his “lovely boy”.
Andy’s bestie, pop star John Mayer, snapped this pic of the new father and son at the hospital. Nawwwww …
“One year ago tonight, I sat alone in a hospital room with my newborn son pondering our future. I didn’t know then how his smile would brighten my day, what simple joy each new progression of his growth would bring, and most of all what a lovely boy he would become,” the proud dad shared.
“I am so grateful to my surrogate in California who made this all possible, and for every day of our first year… and can’t wait for the next. Happy Birthday sweet little Ben,” he added alongside the hashtag #dada.
While Andy might be tackling fatherhood as a single dad, baby Ben has no shortage of ‘aunties’. Andy’s epic baby shower included every single Real Housewife from every city as well as party-boy, John Mayer. That’s quite a gathering!
However when it comes to reality television, Andy won’t be encouraging Ben down that road.
“I can’t force him to do anything,” he recently told Us Weekly. “I would probably advise him against it.”
Andy’s epic baby shower was hosted by Real Housewives alum, Kyle Richards, Vicki Gunvalson, Nene Leakes, Ramona Singer and Teresa Giudice.
Andy has clearly been smitten with fatherhood from the very start. Shortly after welcoming Ben, he spoke with TODAY about the ways it had already changed his life.
“There is a comfort in knowing that he’s there waiting for me,” the new dad said. “I went out for my first night away from him, just for dinner with friends the other night, and I was sitting there and I realised, ‘Wow! I love it that he’s there at home for me.’ It’s an anchor. It’s my family. I was like, ‘I love this feeling.'”
“I look at him the way I used to look at Instagram,” he joked. “I just sit and stare at him. I’m like, ‘Well, this is more interesting than a bunch of hot guys on my feed.'”

Ben is a big brother!
Daddy Andy took to Instagram in April to share a sweet snap of his son, Benjamin, meeting his baby sister, Lucy, for the first time.
“When Ben met Lucy ♥️,” the Watch What Happens Live host captioned the sweet image.
“She’s making little noises.”
The proud new dad took to his Instagram stories to share a beautiful video of the new siblings getting acquainted.
While Andy gently cradled his swaddled newborn, a smitten Ben gives his little sister a kiss on the cheek.
Andy asked: “Are you happy to see your little sister?”
And the adorable toddler replied: “Yeah. She’s sleeping. She’s making little noises.”
When asked if it was fun to have Lucy home, Ben replied: “Yeah, I love her.”
“She loves you!” proud daddy Andy responded as Ben chimed in: “But she wants to say ‘Hi’ to me!”
Ben enjoys Encanto magic!
Like the rest of the world, little Ben got lost in the magic of Casa Madrigal.
Andy shared the sweet snap of Ben watching Encanto captioning it: “Perfect snow day with my pal! ♥️”

Take your kid to work day
The Bravo Clubhouse is where Andy does some of his best work interviewing celebs and playing fun games that often expose the truth behind some of the most iconic moments on television.
Little Ben got a taste of the action, sitting on one of the hotseats on set!
“Yesterday was Take Your Son To The Clubhouse Day!” penned proud daddy, Andy.
Bravo’s Andy Cohen is every parent working from home right now!
As Andy worked at his famous desk, which most fans would recognise from the Watch What Happens Live and Reunion shows that were filmed in 2020’s lockdown, little Ben sits happily under his feet!
“His new favourite spot is under my desk,” Andy penned. And if this isn’t #LockdownLyfe, nothing is.
Like father, like son.
Andy shared a split screen image of Ben and himself at the same age, rugged up for winter while wearing Snoopy sweaters looking almost identical!
“My surrogate was a great gift to me. She gave me the ultimate gift,” Andy Cohen said in an interview with People magazine.
“I want New Yorkers to be able to have access to that and not have to travel across the country like I did.
“Thankfully, I had the means to do it. But some people can’t afford that. People should have that access in New York.”
The star of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live opened up about how his life has transformed while appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
“Everything has changed,” Andy said. “It’s amazing. He’s a little lovebug.”
“Having a child was somewhere in my head, but I was never ready,” Andy told POPSUGAR.
“So then I was turning 50, and I was like, ‘Okay. I’m economically at a place where I need to be where I can give him or her the best life,” he explained.
“And I’m emotionally in a place where it’s now or never. And I just realised I was ready to go.”
“I’m taking it day by day,” Andy told POPSUGAR.
“I have amazing help because I am a single parent. And every day’s different,”
“I’m excited to go on adventures with him and show him the world,” first time dad, Andy told People.
“I want to see him running around a big green yard. I want to teach him to swim.”
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Andy shared this throwback image of himself and it’s clear where little Ben gets his big brown eyes from.
Going into fatherhood as a single dad, Andy knew one thing from the start … Ben would have no shortage of women in life, including Real Housewives OG, Vicki Gunvalson.
“I want Benny to be surrounded by as many women as possible,” he noted to People.
“Women have played such a key role in my life. My most important relationship has probably been with my mum. He will be surrounded by women. He needs it. We all need it.”
When it comes to having more kids, the idea is certainly not off the table.
When asked if he thought little Benjamin needed a sibling came up during another visit to TODAY last September, the single-dad said, “I think maybe he does. I’m taking it one step at a time.”
Baby Ben is often visiting daddy Andy on set at The Bravo Clubhouse while he hosts Watch What Happen’s Live where he interviews the stars of the network’s hit shows and their celebrity fans.
Long time friend and Andy’s fellow host of CNN’s NYE coverage, Anderson Cooper is a big part of little Ben’s life.
In fact, Anderson has since become a dad himself and thanks Andy and Ben for helping him along the way.
“He’s actually really helped me because my son is entirely wearing hand-me-downs from Andy Cohen’s son,” Anderson told People.
“I’m inherently cheap, I like a good value … and, first of all, it’s a pandemic,” he continued. “I was planning on going shopping, which I hate to do, and then, like, online shopping, how do you do that for baby clothes? I don’t know, it just seemed weird. So, yeah, he just gave me all the clothes.”
In fact, Andy has a few big names on the parent-help roster.
“Kelly Ripa helped me find my baby nurse, who’s incredible,” he told People. “Sarah Jessica sat with me for three hours on a Saturday and helped me do my registry. And she lent me clothes and burp cloths that she had saved from her kids. She labeled them all. She left me a big plastic container full of things that she knew I would need.”
While Andy is famed for being one of Hollywood’s hardest workers, he still makes time for family.
“I’m in a place in my life where I have a pretty generous schedule and where I can afford to pick up and go somewhere for the weekend,” he explained to People.
Nawwwww, plum tuckered out!
Baby Ben took out the crown for People’s “Cutest Baby Alive” and we can see why.
Before Ben, there was Andy’s beloved pooch, beagle-foxhound mix Wacha who was beyond happy to get a little brother at last!
“I was in the delivery room,” Andy told People.
“I had been hoping that he would have a full head of hair, and he really overdelivered. That was the first thing you see, the head of hair coming out. And I was amazed.”
Andy was tasked with cutting the umbilical cord at the surrogate delivery and then enjoyed his very first skin-to-skin session with his newborn.
“He was so alert for the first two hours. His eyes were wide open. He didn’t cry; he was just calm,” he recalled. “I kind of have no words for it.”
