The books were created by Simon 'Wiggle' Pryce and Lauren Hannaford.

As a new parent, it’s easy to feel a little lost and nervous when it comes to your baby and hoping you are doing the right things for their development.

It’s for this very reason, that Simon ‘Wiggle’ Pryce and Lauren Hannaford created a book series, with the aim to give new parents peace of mind.

Inspired by their own son, one-year-old Asher, Simon and Lauren’s Look, Learn, Grow books were created in partnership with The Wiggles and published by Are Media Books.

The Wiggles Look Learn Grow books (0+ months and 6+ months) will help parents by guiding them through the early months of their baby’s eye development.

The Wiggles

The Wiggles Look Learn Grow books (babies 0+ months, and 3+ months) is now available.

The Wiggles Look Learn Grow books are designed around geometrical shapes and colours, in particular the four vibrant colours of The Wiggles red, blue, purple, and yellow, making them the ideal brand for a baby eye development series.

For the first three months of a baby’s life, they see shadows, shades of grey, and primarily black and white geometrical shapes.

From 3+ months, they start to see bright vibrant colours: red and green first, followed by blue, purple, brown, and then yellow, pink, and orange.

By 6 months baby will be able to see all the colours of the rainbow.

The Wiggles Look Learn Grow books are not only a wonderful tool for a baby’s eye development during their early months, but this time spent together will also form a beautiful connection between parents and their baby.

Sharing the news of the book launch to their respective Instagram accounts, Lauren and Simon wrote:

“We created these books through the inspiration of our beautiful boy Asher. We wanted to better understand how he could see the world in the early months of his life and how his sight would develop over time.

“After much research, playing around with ideas and design, we are so thrilled with how these books have turned out and are beyond excited to know that you too can get your hands on a box set now.”

The Wiggles

The books are designed around geometrical shapes and colours, and are perfect for the development of babies.

Simon and Lauren met on a Wiggles tour when Lauren, a former elite gymnast, performed as Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Dorothy the Dinosaur. The pair wed in 2017 and welcomed their first child, Asher William Pryce, in January 2021.

In an exclusive inteview with Bounty Parents, Simon spoke about how becoming a father has tapped into his emotional side.

“I’ve always been quite an emotional person but now I’m incredibly emotional,” he explained.

“We meet a lot of children who aren’t that well and that really hits home now. It always affected me with this job, but now it has a whole different meaning and understanding of what you’d be going through as a parent if you had a child who wasn’t that well and you’re dealing with all that. You look at your own mortality more too.

“I turned 50 recently and was like, ‘Okay, now I’ve got to be healthy forever’. I never really thought of that much before but you just want to make sure that you look after this little person and give them the best life possible, for as long as possible.”

The Wiggles Look Learn Grow (babies 0+ months, and 3+ months) books are now available at The Wiggles store online, Big W, Booktopia, Angus & Robertson and other leading book stores.
