The top 100 baby names in Australia saw a shake-up last year like never before!

From renowned social research experts Mark McCrindle and Ashley Fell from McCrindle have looked into the baby names that Aussie parents used in 2020 and there’s been some big shifts and movements in the popular stakes.

In fact there were a staggering 10 girls’ names including Remi, Harlow and Molly that entered the top 100 in 2020, which means 10 others including the likes of Madeleine, Riley and Alexis were squeezed out of contention.

While boys’ names saw five in and five out, with names like Luka and Lewis giving names like Tyler and Nate the nudge.

But first lets look at who made the top 10 for each …

The most popular baby names in 2020 were …

Charlotte once again brings in the top of the gals list after being given to 1,556 Australian baby girls in 2020, while Oliver took out the title for the boys after bing bestowed upon 2,138 boys in 2020.
