Disneyland Paris just had a MASSIVE glow-up – and it’s worth the long-haul flight from Australia
Disney-loving families, would you fly to Paris for this?
If you’ve ever tried to plan a “once-in-a-lifetime” family holiday that keeps everyone happy, this might be the update you’ve been waiting for.
Disneyland Paris has entered a new era, with its second park reimagined and renamed Disney Adventure World, a huge expansion that nearly doubles the size of the park and introduces a whole new level of immersive, family-focused experiences.
Think bigger. Easier. More immersive. And yes, a lot more magical.
Frozen, but make it fully immersive
If your house has ever echoed with Let It Go, prepare yourselves.
The brand-new World of Frozen transports you straight into the Kingdom of Arendelle, complete with a towering 118-foot North Mountain crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace, a village square, and Arendelle Bay.
At its heart is Frozen Ever After, a gentle musical boat ride that takes families through iconic scenes from the films, featuring beloved songs like Do You Want to Build a Snowman? and Let It Go, brought to life with state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics®, immersive projections, and cinematic sound and visual effects.
Why parents will love it:
- It’s immersive without being overwhelming
- Family-friendly, no big thrill rides required
- Plenty to explore beyond just queuing for rides

The night show you’ll actually stay awake for
At the centre of Disney Adventure World is Adventure Bay, a 7.5-acre lake surrounded by immersive lands including World of Frozen, Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar.
By day, it’s all relaxed strolls and character spotting. But at night? It turns into a full-scale spectacle.
The new Disney Cascade of Lights show brings water, projections and Disney’s biggest stories, from Moana to Marvel, into one huge nighttime moment that actually feels worth keeping the kids up for.
Parent tip: This is not a “walk past it if you’re tired” situation. Plan your whole day around it.

A Tangled ride, new food spots, and fewer snack-induced meltdowns
The newly designed Adventure Way is the main avenue of Disney Adventure World and it’s been created as a central, family-friendly hub connecting the experience.
There’s a Tangled-inspired ride (Raiponce Tangled Spin), plus 15 new dining spots dotted throughout the area. And we all know, more food options equals less queuing, fewer meltdowns and happier parents.

So… is it worth the long-haul flight?
With a full Frozen world kids will completely lose their minds over, a genuinely impressive nighttime show, and more food, space and breathing room built into the experience, Disneyland Paris is no longer just a “maybe one day” add-on to a Europe trip. It’s quickly becoming the main event and honestly, it makes the flight from Australia worth it.
