Big and small fans of the hit show about a family of Blue Heelers are in for a treat! The highly anticipated third series of Australia’s #1 children’s program, Bluey, premieres on our screens on Monday 22 November at 8am on ABC Kids and ABC iview!
Aimed at five-to seven-year-olds but loved by people of all ages, the cartoon follows a six-year-old blue heeler puppy, Bluey who lives in Brisbane with her parents, Bandit (dad) and Chilli (mum) and four-year-old sister, Bingo.
We can’t wait to see the fun and games this adorable family get up to in the new series.
The insanely popular Australian animated series premiered on ABC Kids in October, 2018. Since then, Bluey has become ABC iView’s most watched program in history and has gone global after been picked up by Disney and the BBC.
Jane Gould, senior vice president of Disney Channels Worldwide says it’s Bluey’s ability to depict day-to-day family life with humour that attracts fans, young and old.
“The warmth and authenticity of Bluey’s family dynamic is what first captured our interest in the show,” says Jane.
“Bluey reminds us all of our own families, and it plays out the small but emotionally epic dramas of day-to-day life in surprising, heartfelt and very funny ways that will engage children and parents alike.”

Continuing to highlight the importance of unstructured and self-directed play in children, Bluey takes the everyday events of family life, like racing in the back yard, cooking breakfast for Dad, and a visit from Grandad, and turns them into unique gameplay, creating idiosyncratic adventures out of everyday moments.
Lending their voices to characters this series are Myf Warhurst, Megan Washington, Leigh Sales, Sam Simmons, Sean Choolburra, and singer/songwriter Darren Hanlon. There are also a few names that are so top secret that you’ll have to watch to find out who they are.
