Warburtons Crumpets Launch in Australia, recipes for fussy eaters breakfast ideas

If you’ve ever battled a fussy eater, or even if you’re a fussy eater yourself, there’s a new pantry staple about to change your breakfast (and snack-time) game. Warburtons, the UK’s most-loved bakery brand and the force behind over 800 million crumpets baked each year, has officially landed in Australia.

Hitting Coles stores nationwide from 3 November, these iconic crumpets have already dominated TikTok feeds worldwide, and now they’re ready to win over even the pickiest Aussie tastebuds.

What makes Warburton’s so special?

What makes Warburtons Crumpets so irresistible, you may ask? Each one is baked with a perfectly fluffy centre, a golden base and (this is their secret weapon) 300 holes engineered to soak up toppings like a dream. They’re also slightly thicker than the standard Aussie crumpet, which means more texture, more flavour and more opportunities to convert reluctant eaters who “don’t usually like crumpets”.

And thanks to a wave of nostalgia-driven cooking content and chefs reinventing childhood classics, crumpets have had a full-blown comeback. Google searches for crumpets in Australia have soared 15% year-on-year, and TikTok creators are turning them into everything from mini pizzas to gooey cinnamon scrolls.
