However it’s the kid-friendly activities on offer in the region that are a major drawcard for families. From farm fun at Tropical Fruit World, surf schools and watersports, play centres, great accomodation and fun on the waterslide at the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre … there’s no shortage of entertainment options for thrill-seeking kids on the Tweed Coast!

Swim and slide at Murwillumbah Pools
With an outdoor 50 metre slide, a kiddies leisure pool and 50 metre outdoor pool, the aquatic centre at Murwillumbah is a great way to spend a summer day.
Enjoy Cudgen Creek with Watersports Guru
Beautiful Cudgen Creek is one of the jewels of the Tweed coast crown, and making the most of everything on offer in this beautiful waterway, is Tim and co. from The Watersports Guru.
You’ll them set up by the bridge at Cudgen Creek between 9 – 4 daily (depending on the weather).
Families can give paddle boarding a go, jump in a kayak for a mind-clearing and scenic row down the creek, or get the kids smiling with their range of water-fun activities including snorkelling with turtles!
Never tried these thing before? No worries, they also offer lessons to teach you all you need to know about having fun on the water so you can learn to surf with them, or become a paddle board pro!
Family fun at North Star Holiday Resort
