Without a doubt one of the biggest themes for birthdays this year is going to be our favourite ABC Kids show, Bluey.
The show hit our screens in 2018 and since then, Bluey has become ABC iView’s most watched program in history and has gone global after been picked up by Disney and the BBC.
The show has also reached obsession-level in many households around Australia.
Aimed at five-to seven-year-olds but loved by people of all ages, the cartoon follows a six-year-old blue heeler puppy, Bluey who lives in Brisbane with her parents, Bandit and Chilli and four-year-old sister, Bingo.
When The Today Show’s correspondent Aislin Kriukelis and her husband, James celebrated their daughter, Penelope’s fourth birthday, Aislin made a Bingo cake.
Aislin showed off the impressive cake on Instagram in a family photo with the birthday girl and the couple’s six-year-old daughter, Camilla, and one-year-old, Joseph.
“She had a Bluey cake last year, so Penny Pop wanted something completely different this year – a Bingo cake!,” wrote Aislin, who credited TikTok superstar baker, Tigga Mac for providing the cake hack inspo.
