Celebrities come out in force to support new mum, Chrissy Teigen’s last minute decision to ditch the Grammys

Chrissy Teigen is known for absolutely slaying the red carpet when she supports husband, EGOT winner, John Legend at the music industry’s Grammy awards. However this year, a lightbulb moment at her final dress fitting on the day saw the new mum make a decision that is being praised the world over.
Taking to Instagram, the 37yo shared an image of herself sweet new daughter, Esti, who she welcomed on January 13 and wrote: “happy grammy day!! had a dress fitting, looked around and realized…what the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol”

The Sports Illustrated supermodel, looking fresh faced and natural, opted not to partake in ‘bounce back’ culture, choosing instead to stay and breathe in that newborn magic while she could.
Her Grammy-winning husband, 44yo John Legend – who was nominated for three awards and performed onstage at the glitzy event – attended on his own, commenting on his wife’s post with a sweet: “Just sitting there fine AF”.
And he wasn’t the only famous name to drop by the comment section, Chrissy’s power-mum move, which at the time of publishing has over 1 million likes, drew support from some of Hollywood’s most elite.

Bethenny Frankel commented: “Not today!” while Emmy Award winning costume designer, Soyon An cheered: “YES MAMA!! Always keeping it real! ❤️”
Australia’s own real estate megastar, Dleanne Lewis, a new mum herself, was grateful for Chrissy’s authenticity, writing: “Love that you did that. So authentic. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
Mandy Moore showed her support with a simple line of five red heart emojis and American reality TV star, Jamie Otis Hehner stated: “The award is already in your arms ❤️❤️❤️”
It was Beyonce’s dance captain, Ashley Everett who summed it up perfectly with “You’re right where you need to be 💞”
This is not the first time that John and Chrissy proved that parenthood is just as important as the awards either. At 2022’s Grammy Awards, the pair ditched babysitters, opting to take their adorable kids, Miles and Luna along with them.

The kids, who at the time were five and three fit right in at the star-studded event, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, looking just as glamorous as their parents!
And while we’re sure that they would have loved to attend again, we adore that Chrissy opted to stay home and snuggle this time around. She really is an incredible mum, right?
